We at EMEEN are incredibly proud to celebrate the graduation of our very own Tehillah Honny, who has successfully completed her Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Philosophy at Queen’s University Belfast, earning a well-deserved Second Class Honours, First Division. Tehillah, originally from London and the daughter of Ellen and Jacob Honny, has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and an unwavering commitment to social justice.
Her passion for change was sparked early on through her work with London-based community organisations addressing the devastating effects of knife crime and strained youth-police relations. These grassroots efforts gained national recognition and helped improve engagement between law enforcement and young people.

Since relocating to Northern Ireland, Tehillah has continued to champion policy as a tool for equity. She has worked with ethnic minority organisations on tackling economic inequality, took part in the Washington Ireland Program where she explored youth-police dynamics in Belfast, and contributed to policy research on artificial intelligence in public healthcare during her placement at Pivotal, a leading policy think tank.
Her time at Queen’s University Belfast has been formative. As she reflects:“Queen’s has equipped me with the tools to think critically, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly in changing environments. These skills have been essential in shaping my professional journey.”
Equally important has been her involvement with EMEEN (Ethnic Minority Employment & Entrepreneurship Network). She shares:“Through EMEEN, I’ve learned to engage with social issues not just intellectually but practically. It has helped me translate passion into policy and contribute meaningfully to the communities I care about.”

Tehillah is now setting her sights on a future in public policy, focusing on the intersection of race, migration, and justice—and we know her journey is only just beginning. We at EMEEN are proud to call her one of our own.
