Tehillah Speaking at EMEEN National Conference Dec 2024
The EMEEN community is proud to celebrate Tehillah Honny as she begins an exciting new chapter in her academic and professional journey. After graduating from Queen’s University Belfast with a degree in Politics and Philosophy, Tehillah has now started her MA in Law at The University of Law, taking an important step toward her ambition of building a career in commercial law.
Originally from London, Tehillah developed an early passion for justice and public policy through her engagement with community organisations addressing issues such as youth safety and the relationship between young people and public institutions. These experiences helped shape her interest in how policy and governance can influence real social outcomes.

Since moving to Northern Ireland, Tehillah has continued to deepen her interest in research and policy development. She participated in the Washington Ireland Program, where she researched youth–police relations in Belfast, and also spent time working with Pivotal, a policy think tank, exploring how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence could support public healthcare in Northern Ireland.
“Tehillah represents the very best of what we hope to see in the next generation of leaders. Her journey from policy research into legal studies shows a deep commitment to understanding how systems work and how they can be improved. At EMEEN, we are incredibly proud of her progress and confident that she will make a meaningful contribution to the legal and business communities.”
Steve Lazars, Founder & Strategic Director, EMEEN
Tehillah was also part of the EMEEN team, where she contributed particularly in the role of Social Policy Lead, supporting discussions and initiatives focused on social policy, economic inclusion, and the experiences of ethnic minority communities.
Her decision to pursue a law degree represents a natural progression from policy into the legal field.

Through her studies, Tehillah aims to develop the legal expertise and commercial awareness required to enter commercial legal practice, where legal advice plays a crucial role in helping businesses manage risk, resolve disputes, and make informed strategic decisions.
At EMEEN, we congratulate Tehillah on this important milestone and wish her every success as she continues her journey from policy to law
